Temporary Relief Motions
Full divorce/custody proceedings can take 12 months or more depending on the complexity of the case. In certain situation, it isn’t realistic to wait that long to get a final order from the Court. Because of that, either party can ask the Court for a temporary relief motion hearing, at which time the party will ask the court for a temporary order that will be in effect until the divorce is final.
