Checklist of what to do when a new lawyer joins the firm

  • Fill out MLM new packet, send to MLM.   Add_Attorney
  • Call Work Comp Insurance and add them
  • Ensure they are members of the MSBA
    • (if they want to be member of the ABA generally it’s ok but get Partner approval)
  • Give key for office building
  • Set up in Mycase
  • Set up Wiki access as user (NOTE: not editor or administrator)
  • Set up Direct Deposit
  • Email 6th District Bar President to get set up email list

 

Marketing Side

  • Add page for KHMNLAW.com and specific firm site
    • Get picture set up with Dan Dinsmore photograph
  • Issue press release to following publications
    • Local newspaper
    • MN Valley Business
    • MSBA
    • New Hire’s College alumni office
    • New Hire’s law school alumni Office
